  If you intend to go to the Philippines in the next little while I would caution you against going to the south west of Mindanao in particular Zamboanga, Sulu and Jolo - friends of mine tell me tensions are red hot right now with Abu Sayyaf splinter groups.

  Nothing more upsetting than going for a holiday and ending up dead.
