These fans are awesome, they push alot of air much more than the same size non velocity ones.

  • 45cm diameter fan or is that the height?

  • 45cm is the diameter. Height is adjustable

  • Temporarily unavailable

Change to another store to find online!
My local store is out of stock, changed location to next store - in stock at this price👍
That's how you find stock on Woolies system.

      • +1

Where’re you from ? All my surroundings are out of stock.

        • Click on username for Ozbargainer's location😀
          OP (from Sydney) bought yesterday.

          • @INFIDEL: I’m from Sydney 😶

            • +1

@anamul: I could see that & so mentioned OP bought somewhere in that big city yesterday.

Was expecting a response about my listed location🌛 It's a long way to nearest Woolies😀

      • Not guaranteed though. It allowed me to check out and click and collect at my local store, but this morning I got an endless notifying that the store is out of stock. :(

  • -6

Out of stock since last week

  • -3

Out of stock since last week and I bought next cheapest for $59 at Target

  • +2

some stores still have it. i picked up mine from my local woollies yesterday.

    • Which store? I tried the 2 closest to me and they have no stock.

  • Anyone have any idea how much power this is rated at.

The big w and coles 30 cm pedestal and desk fans are rated at about 40 and 45 watts respectively.

I am guessing the 45 cm ones aka this one might be in the 70 to 80 watt range but trying to confirm.

    • Maybe on paper, there’s no way those cheapies push 45w of air. A decent 50w fan can be like a tornado.

    • The 45cm Adesso floor fan is 130W. Absolute bargain for $35.

The Big W (Abode) floor fan is also 130W.

The Target high velocity pedestal fan is 100W.

      • Sweet thanks I got the Woolworths 45 cm floor fan coming I think it was Adesso.

$35 so should be 130W and blow my hair off.

        • +1

Received the Adesso 45cm High Velocity Floor Fan today it was $35.00 and imho very very good value for what it is worth.

Easy setup much quicker and easier than the plastic desk and pedestal fans but yeah gotta be careful of infants or even pets sticking their tiny limbs and fingers in a very fast spinning all metal fan.

Power supply does heat up fast though I found on high but on medium and low it keeps warm to the touch and not hot.

Pretty solid so will not fall apart as easily like the plastic desk fan (have had it fall and break apart a few times already off a swivel office chair).

3 speeds (low, medium, high) , decent length power plug cable (not detachable, sorry for not measuring it).

130 watts rated for maximum speed.

Only gripe is no timer or remote but otherwise a perfect floor fan and really really high velocity about 3 to 4 times strength of my plastic 40 watt fans on high speeds.

          Happy customer here.

Let us see how long it will last.

      • Which big W abode fan? Cant find a link

    • The image of the box for the 45cm pedestal shows 90w.

  • +2

I have something similar to this that I bought at Big W and it works a treat. I use it when I’m sleeping. If you don’t mind noise, this is perfect for sleeping at nights

  • +2

I'm a big fan of this bargain.

    • +1

      fannnnnnnnntastic..

      • This deal will blow.

        Too late?

  • +4

But can it point downwards to a 58cm height?

    • +1

      =.=

It's below 58 cm not to you QuantumCat

  • Awesome Fan!!!

  • Looks like they have sale on all Adesso fans
    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/search/products?searchTer…

  • Was going to get a cheapie basic one, but you guys have convinced me.

  • Essentials 40cm Pedestal Fan each @ $10 as well

  • Damn it I just bought some 30cm ones for $20..

  • Might grab one of these. Last couple of cheap fans have had metal blades and they’re noisy compared to plastic one I have.

  • Anyone tried the 40cm Chrome Pedestal?

  • Is the slowest speed very slow and quiet? I don't like the really noisy/turbulent air of fast pedestal fans when I sleep.

    • +2

If this has metal blades they are very noisy even on lowest setting (most high velocity fans are loud though). We bought a Mistral 50cm high velocity floor fan from Bunnings last week and it sounds like a prop plane even on the low setting. Great for outside or a large room if you don't mind the noise but I don't know how you would sleep or watch the TV. They push HEAPS of air though.

    • +1

Bought 45cm high velocity fan just this evening. Definitely less noise than 45cm plastic fan from good guys. Very effective I must say.

  • -5

Is this the one where it sprays mist ?

    • Obviously not.

      • -5

        Obviously not buying

  • Is it safe to have these fan around children?

    • +12

I always pack away the children just to be sure the fan isn't hurt.

      • Hahahahahahahaha

  • +2

    This vs kogan Dc fan?

    • Having bought the 45cm high velocity fan earlier this evening and also having the cheaper Kogan dc fan, I can confidently say it blows away the Kogan fan for effectiveness. Much more suited to a living room than a smaller bedroom as the fan is quite powerful.

    • The Kogan DC fan for quiet, low airflow, right next to your face.

This for blowing you away from across the room in terms of airflow and noise.

  • DIY air filters with the box fan!
    Tempting

  • Is there a way to search stores who have stock?

    • -2

      CTRL+F here and type infidel

      • Wondered where I was😀

        • 😀

It's a bit slow. Could ring.
Some stores will have no stock & stock levels may not be accurate.
Better to pop into store & grab one now than wait for packer to fill order (possibly tomorrow), after others have already bought!

  • it'll be 50% off by April , but then no stock left in most stores

  • -1

All sold out? Or just my poor searching skills?

    • +1

      B😉
Not sold out - in stock in other locations.
Maybe just not in stock near you.

Got one in Nelson Bay on Saturday.

    Very happy with it.

    Got one at Helensvale earlier.

I asked this product what kind of music it liked. It replied, "I'm a big metal fan"

    This deal blew me away

    OOS

  • Searched a few stores today and ended up finding them at Officer (Vic), I had to ask for them to get it from out the back as they apparently had new stock arrive today.
It was a PITA to put together lol.

    • -1

Much easier than the plastic ones imho.

Those ones you have to put the whole thing together minus the motor and housing but the fan blades and cage all need to be assembled.

This unit all you need to assemble is the metal floor legs and then the legs to the already assembled fan cage and blades so it is a much easier process imho compared the plastic ones and a lot more sturdier.

Is this good enough to replace Vornado 660?

    • -1

Also interested to hear Vornado 660 users on this.

      • -1

They are not the same. Vornado push a lot more air for the same noise. But if you consider the price, this fan is very value. Get it if you don't mind the size. I regret i didn't get more than 1 to replace my dodgy bunnings one (bought for $8 on clearance)

        • -1

Ok so Vornado if same price is better otherwise the other one is more value because much cheaper.

Wow this was on $8 clearance at bunnings.. Damn how long ago was this.

  • +1

At least 3 more in stock in Hampton Park (VIC) store after buying the 45cm high velocity fan. Very impressed with the fan. Noise is less than an equivalent 45cm plastic blade fan I got from good guys few months back and it certainly is very effective. Looks good too.

    • +1

I would go for the kmart 50 cm one if you have it stocked near you or don't mind delivery.

  • Seems my local Woolworths does not sell fans.

  • -1

    Thanks
Just bought the 45cm, High Velocity Pedestal Fan …
Looks good and fantastic for the price.

  • Selected store pickup (Camberwell VIC), checked stock, paid, got confirmation and ready for pickup emails. Went to the store and was told no stock, you'll get a refund. Disappointing.

  • Got one, great fan for the price!
