Possibly stupid question: What would be the difference between that and just dumping a handful of salt into a bottle of water?

Natural isn't always good. Otherwise, spray some arsenic or acid on your hair.

There should be one on eBay or amazon. Haven’t seen them in stores.
Call around to some pharmacies, hair and beauty salons and see if they've got any natural sprays you can sample?
I wouldn't expect them to come cheap however.

EDIT: Head down to the ocean with a spray bottle from Daiso/$2 shop and fill it up with salt water. Natural, cheap and does all sorts of crazy things to your hair.
