Hisense P7 55" Price Has Dropped to $1099

Not a bargain as such, but it looks like the hisense 55" p7 has dropped in price in all stores to $1099. It's a little cheaper in billy guyatts ($1032).

In sure there are a few people looking at this tv, and it seems like a great time to buy before it's phased out for the 2019 range.

  • Is this TV better than Samsung / LG deals in the few days in price range $690-$888?

  • I had a look at the Samsung and the hisense looks much better in my opinion. The Samsung was darker and less vivid.

I'm unsure about the LG, but reviews would rate the hisense higher

  • Has been under $1,000 before I think.

  • I have heard from JB Hifi staff whilst I was there a while ago, if you are going to buy a Hisense, buy at least a "7" suffix or above.
    Cheers

  • It's been $909 before with the 10% ebay code, but hopefully we'll see more of that with the price reduction.

This is a 7 series. It's quite a bit better than the 6. Even the 50" panel has a lower spec them the 55" (like smooth motion 100 instead of 200)

  • two things with our P6 55inch 4K - SD looks rubbish, and it keeps losing wifi settings so I have had to run ethernet to it.

Not saying p7 is the same but worth checking. (we have two other Hisense tvs that the kids game on and they have been great).

    • Turning off "Fast boot" fixes issues with Hisense forgetting WiFi settings.

Edit: SD on a 55 inch 4K TV looks rubbish regardless of TV. Why are you even watching SD anyway? Do you watch DVDs or VCDs too?

      • Thanks Jelko - I will try your suggestions. Rainy weekend here in FNQ so a perfect time to play with the TV. Oh and no SD dvds or vcds, LOL.

    • I guess my megadrive will have to go into the bedroom with my 32" Sammy then!
