I received my "New Xiaomi Power bank 2 10000mAh 2018 updated Version", bought on ebay.
I want to verify that it is genuine. Went to this site: https://www.mi.com/global/verify/#/en/tab/secur
Types in the 2-digit security code and 4-digit code.
Click Verify - no message.
Tried it in Firefox and Chrome. Also tried it on my mobile phone. Every time I click Verify there is no message.
Does that mean it is not genuine?
It doesn't give me any message at all.
So I don't know what to deduce from that. Maybe fake items don't give messages?
I was told genuine one can charge other devices while being charged.
Mine does do that!
But I wish I had got some feedback from their 20-digit code check.
I tried mine, the comment was;
"This is an authentic product. This security code had previously been queried 2 times".
Yes that is correct. I checked it when I first bought it about an year ago on ebay. Had a lot of hazzle check it was full Chinese website then.
I've tried it once - I remember that it simply tells me how many times that code has been "checked". I would be expecting that the check shows that it's the first time. I'm guessing the OK means that the code is in the correct format and fits within the algorithm that they use to generate it.
If it's a code that's been checked many times, it means that lots of people have got the same code and therefore, it's been duplicated across many products (as they do with serial numbers for fake products). ie, it's a fake copy of the product.
