RESOLVED thank you :-) Our Deal cc billed never got voucher no reply email

Hi,

Has anyone had any problems with Our Deal?

I bought a deal for Northside Hair Works 15 Apr. My cc was billed 17 Apr. I never received an email saying the deal was activated but saw on the site it was. I never recived a voucher. I chased for a vocuher via email 21 April and again today. All I have is 2 automated respnses saying we have received your email.

There are no phone numbers on the webiste to call.

I guess I will wait one more business day to see if they reply to my email from today & then speak to the hair dresser & then the bank to get the billing reversed if possible?

Junk mail has been checked & rechecked daily there is nothing in there.

Thanks in advance for any info or advice on how to proceed

  • You can try logging onto the website and the voucher might be there in your account under 'my vouchers' or something. I have never had a problem with them.

  • I've bought from OurDeal twice and they definitely email you the voucher attached as a PDF right after the deal ends.

  • Thanks so much YadaYadaYada you are correct ..I logged in & was able to print the voucher from there many thanks. I guess they had a system hiccup that it wasn't emailed but no matter I have it now thanks again great tip!

    Our Deal and Cudo are doing a pretty good job in getting deals for Perth. I'm happy with both.

    • It looks like they are both doing a good job. I have certainly had no problems with Our Deal or Cudo. Out of all the group buy providers, most of the complaints here seem to be about Scoopon.

        Boy has my opinion changed about OurDeal in the last 18 months. What horrible, horrible and useless/untimely customer service this organisation provides.

    yes I have had problems with OurDeal with booking a holiday in Thailand with Club Mangosteen.

    OurDeal sold the vouchers but Mangosteen were hopeless at getting back to me with the bookings.
    I got nowehere with Mangosteen. I complained to OurDeal. You are right- there are no phone numbers on the website to call.

    OurDeal raised a ticket but did not send me a link to activate my logon so I could not see the thread or status of the call. Ourdeal had apparently spoken to Mangosteen and asked them to confirm my holiday booking. So far no resolution. This has taken ages- since July 2011, we are now in Sept 2011.

    I will be seeking legal advice about my rights as a consumer. As far as I am concerned they should not sell vouchers to dodgy places. And then only be contactable via email from their web site.

    I have had no problems with Jump On It and Groupon and the other voucher people. They have a real phone number you can call for support!!

    I had the same prblem with our deal's Mangosteen Spa. They never responded and it was a dodgy deal because they tried to palm me off to another resort and also asked me for more money. I went Consumer Affairs and Our Deal promised to refund me but I never received the money. This has been going on for about a year. Someone named Charlie from Our Deal says that the funds have been refunded to some name and not to me. So far I have not had any funds refunded. I am escalating this to VCAT and I requested for their Trading name and ACN and still they would not respond.

    You are right there are no phone numbers for Our Deal or Mangosteen and I am getting quite frustrated. If you have their trading name and the ACN please let me know because I contacted ASIC and they could not find Our Deal's ACN since their registered name is different to their trading name.

    I am still surprised they are still trading more than 100 people money has taken from credit card
    And no product has been delivered for 3 to 4 months and some 6 months and even year. It's more scam than proper online sales. They should be stopped ASAP. Terrible online sales experience.

      what have you done? did you take it to consumer affairs? i have had the same issue, over $200 worth of deals, they claim i have not made, however i have it on my paypal glossary, it was withdrawn the same day!
      please help :/

      • If you didn't charge it, you should dispute it with paypal immediately.

  • i am having the exact same problem, purchased and paid on the same day however never received voucher but they withdrew money from my account same day. i have emailed them numerous amounts of times and they keep saying my deals did not exist i will be taking this to consumer affairs.

  • I have similar problem, I ask for refund.THey keep telling me they have to check with the merchant. It's been more than 2 months, I still recevied no refund. Dodgy business. Stay away from Ourdeal
