Seems cheap. TBH I always thought it was a hugely overrated franchise though

Looks like a good price but like every other game I bought because I saw it on Ozbargain, it’ll probably be selling for $10 by the time I get around to actually playing it.

    • Exactly. I don't buy anything for over $10 anymore. With a massive backlog and gamepass/games with gold, buying new games is silly for me.

  • I quite enjoyed the first two in the series, how good is this long awaited 3rd one?

I just finished it the other day. I think the first 2 were a bit better, but I still really liked this one. I just don't think it had the budget that it deserved. There's no dungeons like that last 2, but I think the world design is still really cool, especially when you get powers to open other paths and you find they link up back to another place you've been ages before and thought you were nowhere near there. I think it is worth $39. I'm kinda sad I've already finished it. I'm really hoping they do a fourth one.

      • thanks, well there's FOUR horsemen right? ;)

Yep the fourth one is Stife in the games. They did say if darksiders 3 sold 100,000 copies they would look into development for the fourth. It has already sold more than 70k on steam alone. So I think its safe to say they would have already sold more than 100k copies on all platforms.

@Shaun Prawn: Direct from their CEO from their latest results:

Net sales in our Vienna based business area THQ Nordic increased 38% to SEK 352 million, largely driven by the release of Darksiders 3. The game has performed within management’s range of expectations and has recouped all investments made in development and marketing during the quarter. In 2019, we will release several DLC’s that will give the game a further boost. Darksiders remains one of the Group’s key IP’s.

            Also from their report

The group’s EBITDA for the fourth quarter 2018 increased 109% to SEK 326.4 m (156.4), which was largely attributed to Koch Media and Darksiders 3.

@sss333: That's great news. So darksiders 4 is a big chance. Thanks for that info.
