Flight Centre Interest Free Options (Skye Credit) Whats The Catch?

We are planning our trip flight centre. We were offered a finance option that had upto 9 months interest free credit. We want it to be a budget trip and the staff has just started working on our itinerary.

But I am just wondering what should we expect from flights centre and whats their catch if we get credit from their source.?

  • Besides the annual fee as long as you pay it off within the 9 months it costs you no more.

I've been looking at the Skye card as it has up to 90 days interest free on everyday purchases and you can pay a small fee (not sure how much though) and convert an everyday purchase into an extended interest free purchase. Great for my upcoming backyard makeover so I can juggle the costs

  • their catch if we get credit from their source?

Similar to interest free balance transfers, they know that many people who take up the offer will not pay off the balance in 9 months. Interest and fees then pile on top of the balance.

If you're disciplined enough to pay it all off within their interest free period, then you benefit (and they benefit from the ticket sales).

  • $99 annual fee (first year $0)
    0% - 90 days then 24%
    No foreign currency conversion fee.
    It's a Mastercard.

  • If you need help planning a trip I can also use Skyscanner, Google maps and a calender then gouge with things like overpriced travel insurance :)

  • +1

plan and do it yourself its more cheaper and fun.
