Our Dollar is good, what to by from Amazon.com

Hey Guys
Since out dollar is good at the moment, what can I buy from Amazon.com?

I have tried to buy a watch and some perfum for the Mrs but both things were blocked @ checkout to be sent to Australia. No idea why :(

So what else can I buy thats allowed to be sent here?

Ideas would be great as sometimes is fun just to buy sh*t :)

  • Go holiday to the State :)

  • hahaha yer true but anyone know what you can buy from Amazon?

  • Depends where you buy from.. some stores don't ship internationally.
I've bought a watch previously from Amazon.

  • Yeah scubacoles is right. I was looking for something for a friend and one store would ship this one particular item to Australia and another store wouldn't ship the identical item to Australia. But then different stores charge different amounts and different amounts for shipping so you have to take that into account too.

  • ok thanks

  • wtf 1.09!

    • i feel so sad because of this

remember when it was 90cents, and that was considered high, well i bought some US $ then :(

      • I went to the US when it was 50c. LOL, what was funny that some things were still cheap!

  • I bought some watches - very cheap even without our dollar surge and shipping is 20$.

Noticed about block - click on watches and look on left (under shipping i think), eligible for internation shipping. It filters watches eligible for international shipping.

  • Thanks again

  • If I had $550 to spare I would be so getting this:

    • wait for vodafail to put it at below cost price on contract!

  • If they don't ship try and drop box company … it will cost you extra but most likely it will be still heaps cheaper than buying it here. I've got Amazon to ship stuff via a third party for me before.

    • You mean parcel forwarding?

Beware of shipping costs + extra fees though, they can easily eat up the savings of purchasing overseas.

That said, parcel forwarding for smaller or cheaper items will generally take up a much larger proportion of the cost savings, so you might as well spend over $100+ if you want to buy overseas.

yeah, drop box/parcel forwarding .. same difference … the company I use charge $8.50 fee plus the shipping so it isn't too bad, it really depends on what you buy … if you buy really heavy stuff it's quite possible it won't be cheaper.

        • What company is this??

        • Shipito

      • it really depends, there are some brands that manufacturers chose to not ship to australia.

  • Nothing, isnt. Second hand stuff?
