It's Gen 3
The Gen 3 (wireless) came out in June 2016, not 2018.
My mistake, I saw a review dated November 2018 and just made an assumption.
Which one is more better A50 and Arctis pro wireless??
I have the Arctis, and a mate has the A50.
They sound virtually identical- quality is amazing for both. Everyone always mentions how perfect my mic quality sounds, and listening to my mates- it sounds perfect too. They're both super comfortable for long gaming sessions as well.
The major difference- the A50 has a longer batter life on a single charge- you'll easily get 15ish hours out of it, and has the awesome base station to charge it really easily as well.
Where as the benefit of the Arctis is what won me over. It has bluetooth, and this can be used simultaneously whilst it is connected to the PS4 for sound/gaming chat. So you can have it connected to a phone or laptop without it causing any problems for the PS4. It can also connect to a Nintendo Switch- and this is where the simultaneous bluetooth comes in real handy, as you can have game sound from the Switch as well as bluetooth connection to discord for chatting to mates at the same time. It also comes with a secondary battery. So if you're like me and garbage at remembering to charge it, you have one in the headset, and one is charging in the mix amp whilst you play. I'm getting 10ish hours per battery.
Unbelievable to think Gerry has come up with a decent price for something.
I currently own a pair of Logitech G933s, would these be a notable upgrade?
Oh snap, looks like this will work on a PS3/360 as well, but you will only get game audio. The microphone won't work. :(
Would love to have a decent headset with chat ability for all consoles.
Do a large majority of people still play online with their PS3/360? In 2019, I wouldn't say that ensuring compatibility with last gen would be a priority considering PS5 is on the horizon..
Yeah expecting backwards compatibility with a console released in 2005/2006 is a bit much. Even the original Xbox One is 6 years old.
I own these for xbox and they are unreal! I recently bought a PS4 and just bought a PS4 base station and now the one headset works for both xbox and PS4, just sit it in the desired cradle for a second to let it sync to whichever console you want.
Agree, bought them with the above deal…tested them out last night for the first time and love them already!!!
Any idea which generation this is? The 3 was released late 2018. Couldn't tell based on some barcode searching.
