  • Dang that’s cheap

  • Sounds like a pricing error. Individually they are down to $1.50 https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/16923/hot-…
In the five pack they are $12 https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/145685/hot…

However, the five pack pictured is different than the one in OP's photo.

    • Hence the pic and description. Remove links as this will cause confusion

Majura Park in Canberra had 4-5 packs left with the 338 barcode today.

    Picked up 3pkts earlier today.

  • $1.90 at Blacktown. Check the Barcodes, not all are marked down. Only one left anyway at that store.

A recent issue costing $500 is now selling for around $1900 USD

      • You reckon any chance any of these cheap ones could score anything over $30 in the future?

if yes I might buy some as a nice future investment and surprise to myself in 20 years

        • You’ll need to do your research. I purchased some hot wheels datsun 510 about 3 years ago for $1 and sold them for $45 about a month ago. Doesn’t take 20 years. The market is wierd. One moment nobody wants them and the next they’re selling like crazy.

        • i've got a large collection of hotwheels before they turned too crap (IMO) my pride and joy is 2x 2012 Ferrari 599xx Super treasure hunt in mint condition, they are fetching good money at the moment. I've got a few hundred cars that are worth more than $10, and a few hundred more that are worth nothing. I had a look at them all just a few weeks ago and from a high level, any Ferrari's are worth buying. Then i would go for things like Datsun, Supra, Celica, that style. Mustangs, Camaro's and other american muscle are nice to look at but they pump them out like nobody's business so only the treasure hunt and super treasure hunts are worth getting, you won't find them in stores either. I also like the licence cars like batman, scooby doo, simpsons, etc.. but most don't seem to go up that much.

So why are they crap now? There's waaay too many hot wheels custom designs and not enough licence vehicles

    • Bummer.. Barcode ended 338?

      • Yes Barcode ending 338. Can confirm Woolworths Macarthur Square has them although the price is $3.75 for the 5 pack.

  • Scanning at $15/box in Ringwood and Doncaster in VIC

    • Did you miss the dot by any chance?

      • Nope. The cashier read it out and scanned it twice and she also checked on the computer. :(

Double checked barcode and showed her the ozbargain post as well.

        • Sorry to know it didn't work for you. For me I was lucky to find 1 of 3 (with correct barcode) which did scan for $1.5, rest all were for $12.
