Damn, great price. Unfortunately not a Steam key, and I hate fiddling with dozens of launchers, so I'll pass on this one. Anyone had good/bad experiences with cdkeys before?

Used a few times, but only to buy payment cards when they were on special. Agree with the Steam thing, but might make an exception this time.

      • Ah, okay. No problems? Do they accept Paypal?

The Steam thing would almost be a dealbreaker for me if it wasn't so cheap (at $15 I can't complain haha), only thing is I already have GTA :P

Was thinking of maybe getting a second account, but not if I have to fiddle with another launcher lol. By all means, make an exception, it's a great price for a great game with a huge fanbase and lots of content. Enjoy! :)

Have only had good experiences with cdkeys so far… have bought around 6 games from there.

CDKeys is fine. I've bought L4D2 and PUBG in the past. Both were Steam keys.

Pretty sure you have to sign up for a Rockstar Games Social Club account to play the game anyway and install the social club on your PC.

And yes I have purchased from CDkeys several times with no problems.

I have had the game since the start and i never really played it after i finished the story. I went to play the other day cause my net was bad couldn't log into Battlefield. Had a 9gb update now the game is close to 90gb total for a bit of casual fun.

      game is close to 90gb

So because of the private sector's hopelessness in providing internet service after wasting 100 billion dollars on important things like CEO pay half of Australia still cannot play this then.

    • 82.14GB downloading now…. getting 13+ MB/sec but still going to take a long time.

My speed for the update was averaging 500kbps. Took freaking ages.

    • Thats pretty normal these days for a AAA game.
It's worth it IMO. Such a fun game and great graphics.

  • Didn't realize you could download games directly through Social Club.

Cool, but like, the only reason I'd buy it is to test out streaming to the NVIDIA SHIELD. Appreciate though, OP.

  • Can vouch for CD Keys, spent a fair $ on their store the past several years. Never had an issue

Everything wrong with gaming right here - buy in-game money to progress faster!

    Fantastic game, shady practices.

    • Don't buy in game money then. It's not forced on anyone and its pretty easy to make money in the game. Just google it.

      • Don't buy in game money then.

        I never will.

its pretty easy to make money in the game.

Not when I last played. Was a grind-fest of hours and hours to make a few hundred K.

The issue is pay-to-win - unfair advantage to those who are willing to support this shady practice.

I don't mind a grind - that's just playing and enjoying the game to me, I mind that there's basically a cheat's way to play as an option.

  • Can you migrate your progress on Xbox over the the PC version via Social Club somehow?

    • Yes - I did. I think it prompts you when you log into your Rockstar account on the second device.

Edit: this is on multiplayer - Single player is not ported.

  • Price increased to $17.79
