I am thinking of buying one of these portable washing machine for daily use.

    Oh daily… really?

    I use weekly once roughly

    Oh you mean weekly use.

Its a 4.6kg washer, its a small unit. You might need to do a few more loads than normal.

But I guess for $90, you can give it a shot and see!

    • OP will be back in a month with:

I bought a portable washing machine and because of its size I put 20+ loads through it each week and now it's broken. Can I claim it under warranty?

      • Yes jumping up and down wanting to claim ACL rights for a repair too.

According to the ad images, you can use it to wash grubby children whilst watching the sunset.

My reading of the advert is that this will save you the 10mins of agitation hand washing would require, and will spin some of the water out.
I think you will need to manually fill the water, and manually drain it too.
Cheap real washers start around $350, and less on gumtree.

    • Maybe OP lives in a unit that doesn't have access to taps for a washing machine, hence looking at this option? That's what I'm thinking

  • Another option: The SpinCycle is a portable washing machine that attaches to almost any bicycle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x594yMPSFqk

  • Any recommendation for cheap washing machine?

  • I guess if you keep the load very light like say less than 5 items per use it should be doable.

But I have no clue how sturdy these things are but IIRC long time ago research showed me that they were not much worse off than normal household large washing machines but definitely only like 1/5 or 1/0 the power or storage space / load.

For daily use and smaller loads I don't see a problem .

  • You might be better off beating your clothes against some rocks like they did in the old days. haha

Get a second hand one off Gumtree or something. Anything you get will likely do a much better than this thing.
