Had to replace my thongs recently, went into Kmart expecting to pay $2-$5, got fairly stoked when they were just $1.50.

Turns out theres some hot competition in the janky thong business as Big W have also lowered their prices down to $1.50. https://www.bigw.com.au/product/wave-zone-mens-plain-thongs-…

Overall rating is 3/5 imo, but they seem to be getting better the more I wear them. Also fears of a blowout are very low so far.

  Husband bought a pair of these for a low budget toga outfit on the weekend. Quality of the thongs seemed OK but had a blow out first time wearing. He had been drinking though…

  I've bought the ladies $1.50 pairs and had them last at least a few months. Will still buy again for the price.

    Superglue the plug before wearing. Turns a $1.50 thong into a much longer lasting one.

      That's a great idea! Will give this a go!

      Also need to stop leaving them at the back door in full sunlight because the other thing that happens is these cheap thongs literally curl up from the sun/heat.

        Top Tip - Always carry a bread tie in your wallet or purse. The perfect short term solution to a blowout.

        If it happens in a park then look around the BBQ/picnic area as people always drop them

      Suggest using shoe glue instead. Super glue has no flex.

  There are many discounted thongs now in Kmart, I bought a pair yesterday for 2 dollah only, original price 8 dollah.

  I have been buying these for 2 years at this price. its regular low price not a bargain
  But good stuff for 1.50 if you wanna use in or around house.

  The wave zone black plain ones are complete scummy shit, lasted a couple of days before breaking.

    Around $4 I believe. They werent as bog standard as these so i didnt like them as much haha
