TDR Moto Batteries, Any Good?

Hi all,

I am after a new battery for my motorbike. I've got a Yuasa that lasted way past its life.
The battery that my bike has originally is YT7B-BS. This battery is not readily available in places like SCA, or Repco, and if they are they come at a high price.
I have found this TDR Moto Battery on amazon (and Ebay) for $43.
The price is great, but I am wondering how good or bad this battery might be.
Any comments, experiences, suggestions?

Thanks

  • it's unknown battery from unknown source with their company name TDR MOTO stamped on it

you get what you pay for

    • Exactly the reason behind my question re experiences with this brand. Given the price I am willing to take a calculated risk…

  • This battery is selling for < 1/3 of the price of the OEM supplied battery locally, so personally I'd go with; 'you get what you pay for' here as far as longevity / reliability are concerned.

  • Get a Deka. Best small batteries I've had.

    • Thanks for the suggestion.
The issue I have is the size. 150mm x 65mm x 93mm and 120 CCA, smaller in size than most batteries.
I cannot find a comparable Deka.

    Motobatt. Readily available.

    • Thanks. Reading around I found Motobatt with mixed reviews and so there are people saying that they're not what they used to. I found one at $68. Thanks

Better off spending the extra dollars and getting a AGM battery for motorbikes. I traded up years ago from lead acid to AGM and never looked back. Lead acid batteries suffer a lot more on a bike from the heat and vibration.

I would even look into LiIo batteries. Much lighter and don’t suffer from any vibration issues. They cost a bit more but will last much longer than a basic lead acid battery.

For the record, I do have some of these TDR batteries in 2 of my bikes and no complaints yet. They work well. I have Motobatt batteries in my other 2 bikes and they are much more in price but I would say the performance from each is about the same.

    • Thanks

  • Update
Got a battery from Team Moto in Brisbane. It is an AGM brand Okey. $49.95. 1 year warranty.
    Seems alright.
    Thank you all
