  • I have this exact set. I thought the patio cleaner would be fantastic for cleaning my large concrete/limestone areas. Forget it; it is extremely difficult to move it around on stone (the bristles prevent smooth movement) and the pressure is far too low for good cleaning. You will not get anywhere near the kind of pressure as you do from the "dirt blaster" attachment, so stone does not get clean.

The good thing of this model is the 8m hose, which is longer than my previous budget-model Karcher. But in terms of performance, it is the same.

If you are cleaning large areas, it is probably worth investing into something more powerful.

I also have this exact same kit, I don't know if yours is faulty because my patio cleaner works amazingly well, I thought it would be crap, it's not. Yes if you try and hold it perfectly flat or push it the brushes get stuck. Don't push, pull it along on a very small tilt and it basically floats, totally strips clean my old concrete drivway/carport and a large section of slate paving at front of house. Also strips clean a large deck & verandah perfectly well and much quicker than using the lance OR the older karcher I had. So dunno, I'm happy with mine for now, had it 3 years

Edit, also last time I was using it in bare feet I accidentally ran over my toes, fairly near cut me with the pressure, a big red section of almost bleeding skin so it definitely has pressure.

      • My concrete and limestone gets very stained with black fungus and all. I found that the patio tool just did not have enough pressure. The dirt blaster does only small areas at a time, and therefore has more pressure.

Yes, don't aim a high pressure cleaner on your bare toes. It hurts.

Better go for this Gerni $30 cheap same pressure and by registering you will get 3 year extra warranty so all together 5 years. it has metal pump as well.

i had this same karcher it has plastic pump head which start leaking after 3 years.

Definitely steer clear of these if they have plastic pumps. I bought a Gerni on the weekend after way too much analysis and the Bunnings guy said that (apart from the top of the line Karcher) the rest get more returns. They're just not made as well as they used to (in his opinion). Gerni released a new range last October which have stronger pumps.

    • Gerni 125.5 Titan has metal pump. Is it good, since its price is 149 and includes a lot of accessories.

      • Absolutely. Just means that you won't have as high a pressure with the lower models. All depends on what you need to do and how much. I have a lot of surface area to clean thoroughly and regularly so I needed the 160.2 model to make my life easier.

Can't help smiling at the thought of asking Siri to turn on the powerwasher.
