The Commander Deluxe Edition is the ultimate way for new Commanders to experience what Elite Dangerous has to offer. The bundle includes the base game Elite Dangerous, Elite Dangerous: Horizons and the Commander Pack, which grants access to a collection of items with which to customize your ship.

Recently started playing this to participate in the Distant Worlds 2 community driven exploration expedition. Fantastic game with a great online community. Highly recommended for anyone even remotely interested in piloting their own starship in a recreation of our own galaxy.

  This game is less game, and much more sim! Less entertaining, more rewarding.

  The knowledge ramp is pretty intense too. Kinda throws you in without a perfect explanation of everything. It's not just a pick up and play thing.

  Do read the official "should I buy this game?" FAQ.

  This IS a good game however. Very polished for what it is.

  Amazing game and I highly recommend it but like other commenters have said it should be thought of as a space sim.

  Yeah Elite is awesome .. but it’s not a plug n play game, you’ll be looking up YouTube videos and the EDDB database. Probs my favourite game / simulation in VR, and even better with a Hotas (joystick / flight stick). Tiny price for years of gaming :)
