great deal on the bp monitor - thanks!

  • are they any good??? was looking at Omoron

    • yep

    • i'm going to play devils advocate (actually i genuinely believe this though) - there are very few people who should have BP monitors at home… if someone is worried about their BP - rather spend the money on a new pair of shoes and go for a walk :)
in saying that… the massage chairs look great

    • i bought an omron hem-790it from amazon.com late last year. it cost about $90 delivered (dollar was in the 90s). i think the cheapest local omoron bp100 was about $60(?). my bp was low - too much exercise. still it was very interesting. i still use it to periodically check my pressure.

      • as long as you dont come into emergency wearing your bp monitor, pushing the button every 2 minutes, with your BP going up as you get more and more anxious….

        • i had my fun monitoring my pressure every 1/2 hour for the first day or two :)

if nothing else, it motivated me to get a cursory education about cardiovascular health using google (which is much more than i had before)

  • .

  • i own HoMedics Bathroom Scales…. it measures fat/muscle content, water content etc…. terrific set of scales that havent had a hiccup in 2 years that I've owned it. I couldnt see the actual scales on the dicksmith website, but for a brand I'd never heard of when I bought them, I can recommend them no problem.

  • I noticed that DSE do not carry all the Homedics product lines. I just purchased the VC-150 from Deals Direct for $29.95. (57% of RRP $69.95). Plus $9.95 shipping.

      +1 bought one today too.

It's a bit noisier than I expected but its a great massage cushion for $120.

    • Too bad it's sold out most places in Sydney :(

      • +1 just bought one from DickSmith Roseland. Plenty in stock.

Thank you for letting us know about $30 cashback.

+1 Thanks for letting us know about the cashback. I just purchased one today at the homemaker centre in bankstown. There is still one left if anyone is interested. Works a treat, gave it to my mother as an early mothers day gift, she's been meaning to get one for ages.

  • Looking for the HOMEDICS Foot Massager FS110H and am struggling to find it available (Sydney stores and Macarthur Square)

    • 1 left at Hornsby. 2 at North Sydney.

  • there were 4 SBH 700's at southlands (VIC) this morning - the people at the sshop could not work out why it was that they were all reserved by 930am - i told them they got "ozbargained" and smiled…

  • I bought Homedics SBM-700H. Tried it.
Found something strange: two massage balls are positioned away from the centre, so when you sit they massage to the right from the spine. Only in Shiatsu mode I can move them with the joystick to the central location. Anyone else has the same problem?

  • I grabbed an SBM-700H the other day & tested it out last night, agreed it's a bit noisy (it sounds like I've got a Mechwarrior sneaking up behind me), but it's got some grunt! Great buy at $120 IMHO, thanks a bunch OP & akatsuki! :)
