Castor wheels with hole

Hello fellow ozbargainers,

Just seeking some assistance finding a pair of castor wheels similar to this https://m.imgur.com/a/COT2W9N

I have already checked in Bunnings but they don’t have one exactly like this. Note the hole in the pic, usually the one you find in Bunnings or eBay would have the metal part which connects to furniture attached to it but I couldn’t find the one without the metal part.

The reason I need this specific type is because the table tennis table I need to add this wheel already has the metal part built into the table, so I need a wheel with the hole.

Would really appreciate some assistancne.

Thanks

    • Thanks for the link. It seems they are wholesale not sure if I could just buy 2 from them. Tbh I am not willing to spend more than 10$ for the pair as the table itself is just 99$ and it’s not very strong. I have a feeling that the table might break even sooner the new wheel.

  • +2

The metal part is usually removable from both the wheel and from the table/chair/object. Talk to a bunnings staff to confirm, but any castor wheel should be fine for what you need.

    • Not sure how would I remove that from the wheel. I went to the Bunnings and checked it, it seemed pretty tightly attached the wheel. Didn’t think it could be removed without breaking it.

And on the table side it’s actually welded. It’s the 99$ Table tennis table from kmart. I believe the wheel comes attached to the tabel frame so it’s not removable. Unfortunately in my case the 2 of the wheel broke that’s why I need something like this.

      • The wheels are made with the actual wheel and metal part separate (because it'd cost way too much to manufacture it in a way that they're inseparable). They attach to the wheel usually the same way they normally attach to the table/chair etc, it's slightly tapered at one end and just brute-forced into the plastic.

Again, confirm with Bunnings but I've definitely (accidentally, not even intentionally) removed the metal part from castor wheels I've bought to replace broken ones on my chair. Two hands with good grip, or grip + pliers is all you should really need.

        • Thanks heaps.

This surely gives me more confidence. Will check with bunnies stuff and give that a go.
