      Yes correct. USB is to power the lighting and noise cancellation.

        Would prefer something that just needs less wires but for the price if it works for desktop PC i might bite as my current Sades headset from ebay is starting to play up somewhat

          Yes it will work with PC. USB is not compulsory as it is only for lighting and noise cancelling.

          Should work on PC, but you need to buy separate cable for it.
          Looks like it only comes with 3.5mm jack.
          The PC adapter for sound and mic is separate, and so is the USB adapter cable.

      I tend to disagree, I think Amazon Customer Service is already top notch that you don't need a middleman like PayPal.
