Good Dash Cam

Hey Ozbargain,
I really want to get a dash cam for my car. I want something low profile (no screen), front and back camera, and with some sort of parking mode to capture if my car gets hit while not running. I also do not care about a GPS. I found a cam that seemed almost perfect, the Blackvue Dr-590 2CH (https://www.blackvue.com/product/dr590-2ch) with the Power Pack Pro (https://www.blackvue.com/product/b-112/) for parking mode support. The only problem is that this will cost around $550 Aud.

Now my question is, is there anything out there similiar cheaper but can still do a decent job
or
should I just save up and buy the Blackvue because I have heard from many people that they are extremely good quality?

Wait for autobarn to have 30% off dashcams sale.

    • How often do they normally have these sales?

  • I got one of these https://the-gadgeteer.com/2018/01/17/conbrov-t17-car-dash-ca…
I'm pretty happy, it works fine and in all weather (44 degree days too.)

OP wants parking mode. That doesn't seem to have it.

      • Yeah wanted something with parking mode and don't really want a screen either. Thanks for the suggestion.
