Is the hype around these just because they’re the latest gadget, or is there actual value behind the tech in these buds?

    • They're decent sound quality and quite intuitive. That being said, I wouldn't pay $249 for them. I'd feel content paying $150-170 for them.

  • Would be great if I can sell my white buds for these haha !

    Eh, I probably wouldn't rush to buy these as;

    • people who got them with pre-orders will be selling them quite cheap
    • we don't know how good they are yet
    • the real market price is yet to be established

Plus they aren't AU Stock. You'll get screwed by them if there's any issues (which are common for Truly Wireless Earbuds).

    • Wholeheartedly agree, the fact that one of the only places you can actually buy these from are already selling it 30% below RRP (for an item that has officially not even been released yet), surely signals that the price for AU stock will certainly be dropping quite fast as well.

'we don't know how good they are yet'
check all the reviews on youtube. They are decent earphones.

  • This wouldn't be Aus stock would it?

    • Considering these sort of stores go out of their way to let you know something is AU stock when it is, I highly doubt it as nothing of the sort has been mentioned.

  • This is fantastic. Will force people on Gumtree to sell cheaper :)

    • Lol, I'm on the same boat

  • Great deal on the latest and greatest TWE.

  • I see $170 on the website, thanks for the deal!
    Edit: $15 postage, my bad.

  • $129USD RRP in US so this seems like a good starting point. Only down from here!

    • 129USD = 182AUD, add in 10% GST it becomes $200. Not that far off from our $250 price.

Yep, only a 25% Aussie Tax.

    Discount/coupon code: GREETING6 for $6 off.
    Final price = $179

And cashrewards for another dollar! :)

  • Do I get ACCC protection? /s

Really not sure how people rationalise spending $180 on earphones.

    • +1

In much the same way some people rationalise spending 6 figures on a contraption that takes them from point A to B.

      • They're quite rich and they can spend their money any way they like.

        This is ozbargain, not ozwealthyelite.

In a week ebay will be flooded with thousands of these buds, mine included. I think you'll be able to snag them for $150.

I'm going to see exactly how much others price theirs at first, but I'm willing to let mine go for 150.

    • UPDATE: I just received my S10+ and Buds from Woolworths.

You'll want to be checking ebay soon now.

      • Can I ask whether you had the option to choose the colour?

        • No option. Everyone gets white.

          • @lostn: Where are you located, if in Melb interested in buying your buds

            • @pranksta: Sold them to a colleage for $180, sorry.

Just know that if you bought them off me you would not have got any warranty on them. I don't have a receipt for them.

  • Will all functions work well with other Android phones eg pixel?

    • Works the same on all android phones.

Personally I wouldn't recommend to buy anything from eglobal as I am having lot of trouble claiming through warranty for a phone I bought from them 6 months ago. First of all they dont have any numbers to ring and won't reply your email, finally they respond and keep asking 1 question a day and respond back every 3rd day. They asked me to send video as the fault with the phone was suddenly stopped charging. Now after all they send details to post the phone back to Hong Kong. Very frustrating, I dont want this to happen to anyone else.
