      It's to read these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_cards (sim cards for example). I'm not sure it's a bargain, the only other ones I can find are cheaper and don't have this variable voltage/frequency feature.

        the variable frequency feature is a good thing.
        Standard Price though, also doesnt state how much postage is

    The variable clock speeds may allow the inserted card to be overclocked (if the card permits it) so it responds faster to requests. This is known to be useful for sharing Pay TV.

    I looked at ordering one a few months ago.. i think the shipping was around 8 bucks. but dont quote me on it, as rewstar said, its their standard price.
