    :(
I'm still waiting on my beans from the last offer…

thats WHY it may be his last offer!

    • +2

Still roasting them… remember, they roast to order :-P

    • Hi ScubaColes - if you email me your name, I can look it up in the system and give you the exact details, but to assume some details;
if your order was placed after 4pm last Thursday, I will normally delay roasting until Monday - that way your coffee is not sitting in a courier van over the weekend, which is what would happen if its lodged for delivery on a Friday. So, assuming that, roasting on Monday, for lodgment with the courier Monday afternoon, you will receive you order Tuesday/Wednesday for east coast, or today for SA and tomorrow for WA.
but, if you like, I can certainly look up specific details if you contact me. thanks.

      • Should be at home today then..
I wasn't worried about the delivery just yet..

But if it is indeed great coffee, I was worried, you wouldn't be offering deals into the future.
We have a great local roaster, but their opening hours are inconvenient for me.

      • Coffee was in my mailbox when I got home last night..
Took 3 attempts to get the grind right (bumped up the grind 4 notches from my last batch!), but I drank the first 2 espressos as well (completely over-extracted but still good), man I'm buzzing now!
Third was superb! Citrusy notes coming through, sweet 5mm crema, no bitterness.
Sorely tempted to buy a Kg or 2 on this deal..

        • That nirvana shot is awesome..

This seems pretty similar to the deal you posted just last week…

And why might it be the last offer?

    • +1

Probably not satisfied to the responses/effects from OZBers?

    • +2

So that people don't vote negative of him posting similar deals i think. It's like your local store advertising closing down sale only to see them relocate next doors.

  • Shame if it's the last one - it's how I discovered these beans. Good quality and good service - just bought 3 kgs

    Why quit now?

    • That's why I'm sad too..
I haven't even had a chance to try mine yet!

      • Bay Beans isn't going anywhere, just moving on from OzB, for the foreseeable future. I have received excellent and valuable feedback in the past which has helped me on decisions with postage, product price, product types etc.

I am very happy with where things sit.

Forte was originally $37.90/kg, and has been revised all the way down to $19.70, based on feedback from OzB and elsewhere, but predominately OzB members. Postage has also been set within a range that is fair based on OzB feedback.

To quote from a recent edit I made on the website "This is our most popular coffee and a personal favorite of James'. The price is set very low, so you can sample the quality of Bay Beans coffee and have absolutely no reason to buy your coffee anywhere else. A very popular choice of cafe's and corporate customers. Excellent value with superb quality."

So, thanks for the ride, its been very enjoyable as a REP, even at times where there has been robust discussion, I would always chime in… and if there are deals in the future, I am sure if they are considered a great deal by one of my customers, they may well post it here? The VIP club members will be the ones to get first dibs on offers here http://www.baybeans.com.au/vip.html

I think you're being a bit precious James. Any negativity towards your listings was because they either weren't that special or were duplicates/extremely similar to ones you continuously posted. There are a lot of businesses now taking advantage of this community website, if you don't stand out from the crowd of spamming reps then you're going to get bitten by peoples frustration. All you need to do is do the odd promo with a true bargain like some of your earlier posts and you wouldn't hear a peep of negativity which would be a win win for everyone. Win for anyone buying cheap coffee on the deal, and win for you if they like your product and become a regular customer if they don't have a problem with your normal prices.

        • Thanks Lazed - absolutely no problems with the feedback received - its has all been well received and has helped me shape Bay Beans.

  • It's very risky for retailers to post on here….. the potential for, (often unwarranted), negative publicity is high…..

if I can buy coffee beans or preground coffee, where do I buy ground coffee?
preground should mean before ground ie. beans?

    • nice ;-) Your right.. reminds me of "Who's on Third?"

in this context, pre-ground means it is ground before you open the pack.

      • +3

        "You're" ;)

  • I love these, about to order 500g :)

  • Just in time, thanks…do hope it's not your last offer, though!

    • Definitely not my last offer, but I will leave it to members of the Bay Beans VIP club to post here if they think its a good deal. http://www.baybeans.com.au/vip.html

  • Anyone actually had any of the coffee? the price is right, but I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to coffee - any first hand experience with it??

    • see scubacoles post above…

  • just a reminder - since this deal is a repost essentially of a preceeding one

the byron bay one is still available

sorry but I had to mention it, as I think it too is good value
