Maybe try the lost and found?

  • If you can see the username, could you message any of that account's users? Like calling the last contact on a lost mobile…

    • Can't send messages on Switch.

It *** out most of a user's email address as well.

You can get a support number and contact Nintendo so they could email the account holder I suppose, not sure if they'd bother.

    Good on you

Wow… such a nice change for the usual posts of “I found a Switch, how do I delete the other users and install my own account” post I was expecting.

Only wish that sometimes we could upvote forum threads. Have an imaginary upvote from me, OP. And good luck in your quest.

  • You da real MVP.

  • Nice work Op!

  • i thinks you should be turning lost property in to the police. you can also claim it in the event that it cannot be returned to its owner after a certain period of time.

    • Try that. I think they should give you a record of it or something. If its not claimed I think you can keep it.

Call Nintendo and they should be able to send the registered user a message via email. Good on you!!
