Switching to Boost - Won't Let Me Choose Plan

I just got a $2 boost sim from Woolies.

Put it in the phone, went through all the sign up pages. Then I got to this page.

I want the $150 yearly plan that was posted here a few days ago. But it only gives me one plan option before I can proceed. Do i have to accept that plan, pay for that plan before I can switch over to the plan I want?

  • I hate to repeat what everybody else always says, but what did Boost say when you called them or used their online chat support?

their online chat support is a robot that keeps asking me to rephrase the question. and i figured it would be easier to ask here. from one of the maybe hundreds of people who ported over recently than to call someone in india and put on hold.

Thank for your enquiry to OzBargain about your enquiry about "Yearly Pain". All our operators are busy the moment, however your enquiry is important to us. Please feel free to check out the bargains in the Deals section while you wait.

I did sign up a few months ago, so a few things might have changed, but I was able to select from more than that.

It could be a website error or some other error, so I think only a phone call can resolve it… My hubby called up with an issue that was the SIM and they sent a new one in 1 business day to WA, so they aren't too bad compared to other prepaid providers we've used.

      • just keep going with the bot. At some point, the bot will just forward you to a human operator

Say "operator please" to their chat bot. It will come back offering to help, say the same thing again and it will transfer you to a real person.

  • The $150 plan is an Anytime Plus long expiry plan. As far as I'm aware they only have one type of plan and you'll be able to recharge $150 on that one.

You just activate your sim from that page on their website by clicking next step. You don't have to pay for it.

Once its activated, download their app and go to recharge menu. From there you can choose $150 12 months plan.

That's what I did on 2 Sim cards and had no trouble at all.
