Used/Refurb Dell/Lenovo Notebook - Which to Buy? (eBay)

Hi,

Looking for opinions on used brand/model to buy from ebay (will use 10% discount code), under $300 after discount & with Vic pickup only, want it ASAP.
I'm hoping to decide/pickup over weekend or early next week.

Will use for light to moderate gaming (older games like Port Royale 2/Pat 3/Supreme Commander FA & other games on low settings) and as a media player.
OS either W7 Pro (preferred) or W10 pro, a lighter weight notebook would be a bonus.

Trying to decide between the following:

Dell E6440
Dell E6500/10
Lenovo Thinkpad T440P or ThinkPad L series?

Some links as examples:

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lenovo-Thinkpad-T440P-i5-2-6-ghz…

Some sellers offer 1-3 months warranty.

Which do you recommend?, looking for best condition & price vs model number.
Not many E6500 or T440P for local pickup or in price range, the E6440 are most common.

Any other options worth looking at around same price/VIC/14-15 inch? (must have dvd burner & back lit keys preferred).

Thanks

dell provides very good service if something crooks, as long as the machine is in warranty.

    • Looks to be all seller's refurbished so no Dell warranty.

      • Yeah, no warranty.
I did look at Dell's site, but none in my price point.

        • Have you checked out the Dell Outlet ?

          • @FireRunner: Yes, unfortunately the cheapest is $499.

There's quite a few people watching MSI CR61, anyone have any experience with this?

            Thanks for the reply.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the replies to my post, but still hoping to get more recommendations or feedback.
At this point looks like the T440P is the way to go.

Are there any other options I should look at?

I'm still deciding and looking to buy today or tomorrow.

    Thanks
