How does Foxtel handle new subscriptions from previously connected addresses?

Hoping someone familiar with Foxtel accounts can advise.

My wife had Foxtel (by Telstra) connected in her name at our house.
To take advantage of another offer, we cancelled that after a year, and connected to Foxtel (by Foxtel) under my name, as a “new customer”.

The honeymoon is over, and the price has shot up again.

Are we able to flick back to another account in my wife’s name at the same address to connect as a “new customer” with Foxtel? (either Via Foxtel or Telstra). Or have we now got this address flagged on both providers systems?

Thanks.

  • Just call them up and tell them you're too poor to pay for Foxtel at the current rate and you want a discount. Because that's the truth. Don't waste their time by canceling, returning the box, re-subscribing. You'll most likely get a better rate. If no, ask to cancel. Then you will definitely get a better rate.

Read the last few pages of this thread. You'll get some idea of how much other people are paying.
