It’s so good you fell asleep half way through typing.

Or buy the Aldi mattresses in stock next week for half the price. We’ve been using a couple for last 4 years and are very happy with the quality.

    • You mean in stock yesterday?

When I returned my Koala they sent it to the tip.. I was a bit disappointed by this practice. Also, I had tried a few different mattresses in a box and this one had the most chemical smell that lingered for the 3 months.

    • +2

you mean they let you return after 3 months? That's pretty nice of them.

  • +2

Part of Koala’s early marketing push centred around the high profit margins of other mattress makers, now that mattress in a box is more mainstream it’s Koala themselves who have the high margins.

I’ve been using one of the Aldi MIAB’s (about a quarter the price of the Koala equivalent) for almost 2 years and have been extremely pleased with it. It still feels like new. I really don’t understand how there’s still a market for a $800-$1000 foam mattress.

If it’s the help a Koala thing then you could do what I did, buy the Aldi one and give $100 to an animal charity. I’ve a feeling that’s more (but can’t be certain) than they’d get from Koala - though you could give $400, if you’re a really kind soul, and still be well ahead.

    • Intersting that the Aldi MIAB didn't score well at all on choice review. I guess you get what you pay for?

Is this the article your talking about - if not pls link - hardly a negative account.

        • Huh? You buy choice magazine, or read our at library, or buy online subscription. You know choice right? They are one of the biggest consumer test and watchdogs in Australia…..

          https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/bedroom/mattresses…

IKEA didn't do well at all. Given you can spend a little more and get much better. So perhaps you can understand why people might want to spend more than the cheapie mattresses - quality and features

            @onlinepred: Ah, troll. Thought so.

            • +1

@Lps: I told you where to get the information! Wtf? What's your problem? Want to come over my place to read the magazine? Grow up mate.

              • -3

@onlinepred: I’ll have to assume you’re joking around. Very good.

                • @Lps: Okay? I can't believe you are this sour that you turned to trolling.

            • @Lps: Ah, a jerk. Thought so.

              • @[Deactivated]: Hide, girlfriend

                • @Lps: Well they tried to help but you just didn't pick it up. Your fragile ego took offence and then you attacked. Insightless. Weak. You like this IRL? And then they clarified and you just dug yourself a bigger hole.

This is social media, not sociopathic media. Maybe you shouldn't be here.

  • I know this is your first deal submission OP, but as far as I know this discount is always available.

I ordered an Ecosa a few weeks ago. Delivered the next day. I'm very happy with it. The mattress is excellent!
