It used to be around 100k a decade ago. But im sure after taxes, it wont land you much these days.

god who cares…just live your own life to the fullest.

None of you are swimming in millions so talking about chump change is just a waste of time.

  • +13

Agreed. Stop trying to compare your financial earnings with life satisfaction. To hell with what other people may have, just ask yourself - are you happy?

    • +4

      or is your mrs happy?

      • Wait, didn't they just say that? =P

    How does this poll work?

    • +12

just vote for the most popular or funniest choice.

that's how i make informed decisions

      • +3

That's how you got your username

    • Gross annual household salary I assume

  • +10

Yeah, don't worry about keeping up with neighbours.. get off Facebook and Instagram and just worry about yourself. Live within your means

Didn't we already establish that the average ozbargainer earns 200 to 300k from this thread? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/428769

You know, the last thread you created on the subject.

Someone suggested a poll hence to fulfill their wish.

Answer can be seen easily. Just like any collection of data.. U cut out the top n bottom, the true answer lies around the 200-250k range.

There is no minimum age to start casual or part-time work in NSW. However, you have to be 14 and 9 months to do door-to-door sales work. - source.

Depends on what you get your kids to do! ;)

You should be making atleast 30$/hour before tax in 2019, if not then you are doing something wrong or being ripped off.

Congratulations, this is the stupidest thing I've read today.

      • I'd count that as a moderately successful day, all things considered.

I feel like you'd probably get some value out of the ABS website. Here's some quick info from the last census (yes it had issues, but is still probably a bit more robust than a straw poll on ozbargain)

Once again, ozbargain proving how full of rich, out of touch people it is. Pathetic.

      lol..

400k is the troll option. If it was 1 million, people would be selecting that.

      • +1

I'm just voting whatever is the most popular. It's just like voting for school captain, just vote for the popular kid.

        • +4

just vote for the popular kid.

No. Vote for the token black/asian/latino/wog etc.

    • Welcome to the Internet. Every Aussie forum I've been on somehow manages to attract all the top earners in Australia.. .or at least people pretending to be. You need to remember you're on a platform that people use to get away from their real lives.

      • Or, get this, it's a joke.

Love how we all took the poll seriously

    • +1

Serious posts require a serious vote.

    • +1

      Wait, who took it seriously?

  • +2

Depends entirely on how you define "middle class".

  • +4

    Where is 1 mil option..

Not sure how much income 2 Kids are expected to bring in. My toddler has been more of a money pit then high yield income generating asset so far

    • +1

That's just a standard negatively geared capital asset.

Are there any middle class left in Sydney?
