$40 For $80 Worth Of Wines From Winemarket

230

I think this is a great deal from OurDeal.com.au. I plan on buying the PENFOLDS RAWSON RETREAT SHIRAZ CAB 2009 (12 bottles) with free delivery myself. Only $42 (was $82) after the OurDeal.com.au voucher code is applied. A bargain in my books :)

The deal is available Australia-wide
$80 worth of credit to spend online at winemarket.com.au
Valid from: 12th May 2011
Orders are subject to availability so order in early to avoid disappointment
Limit of 1 voucher per transaction
More vouchers may be bought for family and friends
Not valid in conjunction with any other offer
No partial redemption or refunds
Minimum order transaction $80 (including freight)
Valid until: 30th June 2011

On OurDeal.com.au's Facebook page it says that if you send them an email to [email protected] and put "like" in the subject and tell them what you want a great deal on, they'll send you a $10 discount code. So possibly you could pay only $30 for $80 worth of wines from Winemarket.

  • Can you use the voucher to buy beer?

  • awesome deal

  • +1

like this deal. Only problem is it's valid from May 12th onwards and i am wondering what will be happening then. I am preety sure only the crap wines which never sell will be for sale and the better ones will have a price hike. Preety sure about this.

    • I'm not so sure, these deals tend to be about building branding and marketing into new channels. I don't think it's in any companies interests to only stock crap wines.

I've bought a lot of wine from Winemarket and I've never been disappointed.

      • i have purchased quite a lot from winemarket as well and i don't deny their prices are excellent. My concern was based on the fact that even good businesses get sucked in by the pressures of this group buying sites and sometimes they offer something they can't afford. In the end they decied to make ends meet by playing games. None the less just purchased 2 myself. I have my eye on some wines and am hoping prices remain the same and so does the availability. If not they will lose my business forever.

        • +1

No plans at all to change our prices! Availability is harder to control though, we move through our wines at running speed so my advice is get in early..

Completely agree with you ndenham, any company selling crap wine is only ensuring a crappy fate. Not our style.

Also OurDeal seem to be sending out their vouchers now that the deal has gone live (woot) so if you make your way to our cart you'll find its all systems go. Do your worst!

        • thanks for the assurance guys. Like i said i have purchased from you guys before and have always been absolutely happy with my purchases.

Anyways already placed my orders today. I placed 2 orders from 2 different accounts on my name and my partners. Unfortunately i got confused in the excitement and MIGHT have put in the same unique voucher number twice. I couldn't recheck. If that is the case please contact me and i will provide you with the second voucher number.

Like i said got really excited. All up for $82 i got a JACOBS CREEK MERLOT 2009 (EXPORT LABEL) (12) and PENFOLDS RAWSON RETREAT SHIRAZ CAB 2009 (12) on backorder. Hopefully made available soon. I love my merlots and shiraz. A bit red drinker. Gave you a guys a $5 tips on the JC order for the great order. That was $75 delivered only.

  • This is a great deal. Winemarket have great value already, $40 for $80 value is a no-brainer. Good catch!

  • I can 100% vouch for Winemarket. Been a very happy customer for years now. Never had a bad drop from them, and have bought some absolute belters from them.

You really have nothing to lose as Winemarket offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You don't like the wine, they refund it. Simple. I have never had to use it though.

  • Anyone recomend any good red wine on their site?

    • What style do you like? Big & fruity, soft and smooth…?

    • depends what you are after

what type of food do you normally eat at home?

are you big on sauces with your food (particuarly creamy ones), or prefer more straigthforward flavours

do you eat red meat or white meat more?

    • Probably smooth .Really enjoy the brokenwood cricket pitch. Don't know much about wines but definately found most wines ok from $15-$20 range. Haven't come across any good cheap wine as yet (under $10).

      • +1

maybe just grab a pinot noir - one of the most versatile wine types to pair with food imho meets your "smooth" criteria

  • Hi Wine_Market. Since I help spread the word about this deal to the masses, could I can a discount code? Doesn't hurt to ask :)

    • Don't be a silly billy! OK, that was lame.

Winemarket has a lot of love for all our OzBargainers, we ran a special discount code just for you last month.. and being as how it's beer o'clock on a Friday arvo I've extended OZ12 for $12 off until Sunday 8th May.

FYI the OurDeal offer only works on its lonesome, so you can't use OZ12 and your OurDeal credit at the same time. Have to be pretty strict on this as otherwise there aren't many dollar bills come payday.

      • I purchsed the voucher from OurDeal and got my 11 characters long code. But your website unique code field only accepts 10 characters. I sent email to ourdeal helpdesk and haven't got reply. Did anybody else get the same issue?

        • +1

my voucher code was 17 characters long including the -. It was something like

          ABC-5-WREWHTYUF8G

you have to put the whole thing in.

        • My code is something like VOD-1-XXXXXXXXXXX. Total is 17 characters. But according to this page
          http://www.winemarket.com.au/REDEEM-YOUR-OURDEAL-OFFER

The total should be 16 characters. I tried to put all 17 characters but it wouldn't accept the last one.

  • @wine_market
I know it does say that beer cannot be bought with a voucher, but I just want to confirm that this includes the OurDeals voucher?

    • I'm afraid it does! There's absolutely no fat at all in our beer prices, that's why we can't offer further discounts.

There are a couple of wine & beer combo deals hiding around the site at the moment though, and you can use your voucher on them.

  • Can it be used in a wine deal that also has beer (e.g. the 16 pack + Hoegaarden?)

    • I just used it for mine….seemed to work fine. $68.99 (+$40) = great deal!!

      • it will work fine. Unfortunately when u don't comply with their rules they will manually cancel your orders.

If i was to be a smartbum, i can even put orders through with their facebook coupon being face2 and even use the ourdeal coupon but no need to enter the voucher number. All these will go through but orders will get manually cancelled.

If not then u r one lucky person.

        • Winemarket stalker here again.

You need to put both the codes you receive in your email, one will look like VOX-X-XXXXXXXXX and the other will look like OXXXXX.

If you don't have both, you'll be contacted. If you then can't provide both, we'll have to assume you're playing tricks and we'll have no choice but to cancel the order.

So if you use FACE2 and only one of your OurDeal codes, we'll go into your order and change it. My advice would be to get your order on the road and don't delay it with voucher tomfoolery.

          Hope this helps :)

  • I still haven't found a wine that is familiar to me. Not a big wine drinker. Safe bet perhaps a good SAUV-BLANC.
anyone know what would be their best selling Sauv Blanc? Something like Oyster bay or braided river (NZ)?
Help would be appreciated. I just trying to not buy it for use it for crap wines.

    • Fear not, goblin. We have a quality guarantee - if you buy something & you don't like it we'll take it back. Read more on that in our T&Cs under 'customer promise' http://www.winemarket.com.au/Winemarket-Terms-and-Conditions

If you're looking for a safe bet on Savvy, sounds like you usually buy from the bottle shop. Well known NZ sauvvys are ARA (they make Composite and Our Harvest), plus Daisy Rock and Maven, and Hesketh. If you're still not sure, buy the Sauvarama mixed case. I put that mix together and have sampled everything.

And if all else fails.. call our 1300 number and they'll help you choose.

p.s. surprises me that you haven't seen anything you know, surely Penfolds/Grant Burge/Peter Lehmann/Hardys/St Hallett are impossible to avoid, even IRL?

  • A great deal (have grabbed a coupon) - but I cant see these groupon type things working forever.

Like myself, many of the posters here already purchase at winemarket - offering $40 free (when you sell products for $79 with free delivery) is just like handing out free money!

So far ourdeal shows 435 deals redemeed, thats over $17 000 (not including the cut that ourdeal will take).

Ah well, cheap wine whilst it lasts!

  • Just wondering how long will the stock mixing take on this item.

    http://www.winemarket.com.au/Home_4/REDS/PENFOLDS-RAWSON-RET…

  • Hi Wine_market, my code is VOD-1-XXXXXXXXXXX which is longer than your example one and your web page won't accept it. Did they send me the wrong code or I have to wait until 12/05?

    • The codes may have increased in length since the beginning of the offer.. have another go. If it's still hassling you, put as much as you can fit in and email [email protected] with the full code.

      Sorry for the inconvenience!

      • i am still waiting on some update on my order status. I order the above penfolds shiraz and it still says "stock is being mixed". Can you just give me a timeframe thanks.

        • Hi Rack, if you have general customer service queries it's best to direct it via our website, 1300 number or [email protected] email address. This way we can ensure we don't miss your question and leave you hanging!

The Rawsons Retreat Shiraz Cab 2009 is coming in from our supplier - they've rolled onto the newest vintage, the 2010 - so it'll take a few days yet to get into our warehouse. If you don't want to wait, just give us a buzz or drop us an email and we'll happily change your order over for something we have in stock.

        • hi guys i did send an email to [email protected] yesterday but got no reply. That's ok. If the delivery will take place in within 2 weeks then it's ok. Anything longer please advise so i can change it to something else.

  • Seeing as though the guys'n'gals at Winemarket have been so helpful, I'll add that there are 3 codes.

The first code you need, OXXXXX,is in the attachment you get in the email you get after buying the voucher. Enter that at the start of the winemarket ordering process and press apply.

Later you will be asked for another code. Don't use the VOD-X-XXXXXXXXXXX code from the attachment, use the code from the email itself XXXXXXXXXXXX

BTW this deal has about 12 hours left as I write and has not expired as this page would suggest.
