Cheapest Way to View Formula 1 Season?

What's the best way to watch F1 in Australia. I know the Australian Gran Prix is televised on One but the rest of the races are on Kayo/Fox. I don't want to watch any other sport. Is there a cheaper alternative?

With Kayo starting at $25 a month it's probably the best out there, unless you find a dodgy stream on the internet of course..

    • What are their ads like on a scale of Sky Sports none during race (except overlays) to ESPN/US TV (10 mins of ads every 5 mins)?

      • None during race.

I know the aussie gp is televised on One

I think he wants more than highlights for the rest of them.

Well, you should have read their post, it is clear….

"What's the best way to watch F1 in Australia. I know the aussie gp is televised on One but the rest are on Kayo/Fox."

        • Have amended post to make it clearer.

Free - go to the motorsport streams subreddit. Be prepared for dodgy sites but some are ok. Some streams may drop out, or take you a while to load, which will give you plenty of time to contemplate why Linda left as the suffocating force of regret bears down on you.

Paid - Kayo, share a subscription with a friend. Linda please come back.

    • Total Sportek is another useful resource for most international sports.

Foxtel go live and in HD as much as I hate promoting Foxtel it has the SkyF1 sports coverage for FP1, 2, and 3 Qually and the full race uninterrupted which is the best by a long shot.

If you have a VPN you can try the F1 app it just sucks in Aus other countries can watch all practice and Qually and the race live there might be a trial period first.

There is also another option with people with Foxtel satellite or cable subscriptions that you could take advantage of…
    there

When I was in Europe last year they put me onto a steaming site called first row had everything you had to use the .eu one though.

a bit of searching and you will find what you want. Not that I endorse it I was just in a jam.

The final option is getting off your couch and heading to one of the FOX sports bars around the country. Normally a good like minded crowd around, a couple of drinks and a bit of banter more fun if the time frames are suitable.

    • Thanks might investigate the VPN option. But looking like i need a mate with Foxtel.

I have a Foxtel subscription and gave a friend my login details so he can watch Formula 1 on Foxtel Go for free.

    goto azerbaijan for easter

  • I'm forced to watch rip of Sky sports F1 stream from p2p web site. Can't afford Foxtel subscription for just Formula 1.

    • Kayo is decent and gives access to other sports

      • What are their ads like on a scale of Sky Sports to ESPN?

        • +1

It's literally the Sky Sports broadcast as far as I know, although because channel ten own the broadcasting rights, it may still have some ads.

      • Kayo is Foxtel

Last season I did a few free trials with Foxtel but I think I've run out of email addresses for this season?

    1. Ensure eyes are open.

    2. Aim eyes at TV screen.

      1. F1 is not on the TV

      2. Back to OPs original question

    Kayo is awesome.

  • I watched the last 2 years on a Chinese TV box where the races are broadcast live… same as fox sports but the commentary is in Chinese,

Is there Great Wall car in the race?

      • not really sure what you are trying to say.

  • This year there will be a championship point given for the fastest lap. I wonder if some lesser teams will use ridiculous strategies to come last but with the fastest lap.

    • Only for the top 10, so that's not even worth speculating.

Either go Kayo or Foxtel Now. I would recommend Now, as you get more screens for a marginally higher rate. More screens means you can share the subscription with more friends and family, effectively cutting the rate you each pay.

Though be warned: I think you can only have two screens watching the same broadcast at the one time.

If you want to watch it for free go to your local pub. Foxtel will be broadcasting this year's championship in 4K. F1 TV from the F1 app will also broadcast all the races however because Foxtel has the rights in Australia, we get screwed. You could try using VPN and signing up to F1 TV from the app.

I can't wait, I have GP Advantage gold tickets.

The question for the OP is why? I used to come to Melbourne for the race but changed that to Motogp since they put in too much rules for prototype racing. I will come back to F1 if they bring back V10 and none of these boost and KERS crap.

Foxtel Go via a mates Foxtel account. Costs nothing or a breakfast/coffee every once in a while.

Last season I used https://motorsports-stream.com , not a streaming site but you can download the replays for free of
    F1
    Moto GP
    Nascar
    Indycar
    Formula E
    WorldSBK

    Hope this helps someone.
    If so… enjoy
