The Custom Plates team have collaborated with the Victorian Fisheries Authority to produce a BRAND-NEW Recreational Fishing Custom Plate!

Suggest a slogan for the plate
The plate design with the most votes will be available for purchase in late May. The entrant who provides the most creative slogan will be selected as the winner of a $495 Custom Plates gift voucher!

Recreational Fishing Custom Plates Competition
COMPETITION ENTRY TERMS & CONDITIONS (T&CS)
1. COMPETITION AND PROMOTOR
This competition is organised and promoted by Roads Corporation trading as VicRoads ABN 61 760 960 480 of 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 (‘the Promotor’).
By entering the Competition, you’re agreeing to the T&Cs below.
The purpose of this competition is for members of the public to choose their favourite plate design and submit ideas for a slogan to be printed on the Promotor’s soon-to-be released Recreational Fishing Custom Plates.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
Entry is open to all residents of Victoria aged 18 and over, except employees (and immediate family members of employees) of VicRoads and its associated agencies including Regional Roads Victoria (RRV).
Joint entry is not accepted.
3. COMPETITION PERIOD
The Recreational Fishing Custom Plates Competition commences at 1700 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on Thursday 7 March 2019 and closes at 1700 AEDT on Friday 29 March 2019 (‘the Competition Period’).
Only entries deemed by the Promotor to have been received during the Competition Period in accordance with these T&Cs are be eligible to be judged (‘Eligible Entries’).
The Promotor does not accept responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries.
If the Promotor receives multiple identical entries, the Promotor will only accept the entry that is received first in time. All other identical entries are deemed not to be Eligible Entries.
The Promotor is not required to provide notice to any entrant that an entry is not an Eligible Entry.
4. HOW TO ENTER
Visit vplates.com.au/fishing-plates and enter your Full Name and Email Address. You’ll then need to choose your favourite design, then tell us in 35 characters or less (including spaces): “What slogan you’d like to see on Victoria’s first recreational fishing Custom Plate”.
5. PRIZE AND NOTIFICATION
A panel, to be selected exclusively by the Promotor, (‘the Panel’) will judge Eligible Entries on Friday 5 April at 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria 3101.
The winning entry will be deemed valid by the Panel to be the most creative answer to the question: “What slogan you’d like to see on Victoria’s first Recreational Fishing Custom Plate”. (‘the Promotor’s Decision’)
The prize to be awarded to the deemed winning entry of the competition is a custom plates voucher to the value of $495.00. (‘Prize’)
The Promotor does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The Prize is not redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.
If the Prize is not available, the Promotor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or similar value.
Standard terms and conditions for the purchase of Custom Plates apply as published on vplates.com.au.
The Prize for the Recreational Fishing Custom Plates Competition is supplied by Custom Plates (which is a division of the Promotor).
The Promotor’s Decision is final.
The winner will be notified on the date that the competition is judged.
The winner will be notified by the email provided by the entrant at the time of entry.
If the Promotor cannot contact the winner, or the winner doesn’t respond within 7 days, the Prize will be given to the next best judged entry submitted.
If the slogan contained in the winning entry, does not pass the camera testing, or any other legal or technical requirements after the winning entry has been announced, the Promotor may, at its absolute discretion, deem that the winning entry and the next best judge entry be named joint winners. In this event, the winning entry and the entrant with the next best judged entry will each receive a Prize, or retain the Prize if it has already been awarded and/or received.
6. INFORMATION FOR WINNER
In accepting the Prize, the winner, or the entrant with the next best judged entry, as the case may be, agrees that he/she is a permitted and valid entrant and has agreed to these T&Cs.
The winner agrees to provide the Promotor with identification and/or proof of age (if requested to do so).
Any costs incurred for taking the Prize (i.e. transport or transfers) are not included.
The Prize does not include vehicle registration or any costs associated with vehicle registration.
The Prize must be taken as a whole. Elements cannot be taken on different days/times.
The Promotor reserves the right not to use or involve the winning entry or the next best judged entry on or in relation to any Custom Plate. This decision will be at the Promotor’s absolute discretion.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & MORAL RIGHTS
Entrants agree that by entering the competition, the entrant irrevocably assigns, transfers or otherwise gifts all intellectual property rights and associated moral rights contained within their entry to the Promotor on a perpetual and royalty free basis.
Entrant agrees to relinquish all intellectual property rights and associated moral rights contained within their entry.
Entrants warrant that entries submitted are original and that the entrant owns all relevant intellectual property and moral rights contained within the entry. The entrant indemnifies the Promotor for all loss and damage that arises from a breach of this warranty.
8. PERSONAL DETAILS
By entering the Competition, you’ve agreed to receive marketing material from VicRoads, its contractors and partners, including Custom Plates.
The Promotor is collecting your personal information for the purpose of the transaction you are conducting. This information may be used or disclosed as authorised or required by the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and the Road Safety Act 1986 (Vic). VicRoads may disclose personal information it collects from you to various organisations, including our contractors, or people authorised to collect and use personal information held by VicRoads. Some of these organisations and persons may be located outside of Victoria, and as a result, your personal information may be transferred outside of Victoria.
