Strange Mobile Number on My Web Profiles - Identity Theft Attempt?

Logged in a few non critical websites today. What seemed weird is that my mobile number on each website was changed to the same weird mobile number I have never used. I changed them back. Kind of have to go through all my accounts though. Does this sound like identity theft?

  • Try ringing this mysterious number! Or put it into Facebook and see what profile it matches if any.

Unlikely to be hacked otherwise you would either have gotten a 2-factor text message when they tried to log in, or you would have lost access to your number completely (if they ported your number away ).

This feature has been removed for a long time now.

      • Ah thanks didn't realise

Might be worth checking https://haveibeenpwned.com/ just to make sure.

Honestly though I'd change my passwords anyway, wouldn't want some random number being added with 2fa, and at least you'll feel safer.

At the very least make sure your emails are right (secured password) as if anything go's wrong usually with access to the email helps.
