        Dexa is far more accurate and works regardless of you having any metal in your body.
        Metal in the body, (I don't know how much) affects conductivity by which the resistance of this measurement method depends.

    so i got a similar scale from aldi, it was $40 and you download an app called 'aifit', wondering if anyone else has the same but it seems to be doing the job, has all the measurements, can track your progress and connects via bluetooth.

    contemplating if this is a better scale or not.

    Thanks OP - I also bought one.

    I just hope it is more consistent than our current scales. Stand on them twice and you initially get different readings - by as much as 2kg.

    As long as these are consistently inaccurate! I am more interested in the trend.

    I think the BMI is BS - despite what medical people say. It does not take into account thin and thick framed people and is based on height. Apparently I am obese and need to lose 20kg, which would make me 10kg lighter than I was as a skinny 18yo with a perfectly flat stomach.

      yeh don't look at your BMI especially if you gym heaps.

      I'm like 14% body fat but my BMI tells me im overweight haha..

    Does it work without an App? I’m happy and wanting a set of scales to record my weight, others in the house want noting to do with technology and just want to get on, read the weight, and get off.

      Yes, works extremely fine. I give a gentle tap with my toe before stepping on it, just to wake it up.
      I don't know if it is necessary, but I am used to scales in labs with a tare button.

    I have this scale and the only that is good for is to keep track of your WEIGHT via the app. Don't even bother with the other metrics. My scale keeps saying 15% Body Fat and last week I got a Body Composition Scan done in a professional machine and I actually have 7% body fat.

    It's very wonderful scale!

    If you want better looking stats, select athlete mode.

    I get 16.7% body fat in normal mode but in athlete mode it comes up as 11.3% lol.
    I don't know why it's so different
