First shipments of D5100 + 18-55 VR have just come through.

We have an introductory special on the D5100 + 18-55 VR for just $998 incl GST, valid while stocks last.

Please note that first shipments have only included D5100 + 18-55 VR, and D5100 + 18-55 + 55-300 VR at this moment.

    Just like yesterday's "bargain" from this supplier, it's cheaper or the same elsewhere.

  Not a bad price at all for Aussie stock. It's basically the grey import price + GST. Pretty sure those places on staticice are grey import with their own in-house or "international" warranty.

    Easy enough to work out. Nikon lists all of the authorised dealers and professional stockists on their website.

    On staticice, the only shops cheaper than CameraPro selling an Australian model are Ryda and Camerawarehouse and they're body only. The rest are grey

      Ryda has it for $40 more and includes a camera bag & care kit.

      Even without the extras Ryda include, it makes the deal OK at best.

        shrug I personally wouldn't value the bag and care kit at $40, and can imagine others also not wanting the junk of inferior or dubious quality and saving $40. Not really worth a neg just for that in my book.

        Considering that my point was that even without the extras it makes the deal meh, it's odd that you'd address my argument as if I said the extras were the key to it being a bad deal.
