Roadside Assistance - Anything Cheaper Than NRMA?

My Roadside with NRMA is expiring in a week. I have been paying $110 a year for it.

I get below benefit from them.

Unlimited callouts 24/7, across Australia.
Help with a flat tyre, dead battery, empty tank and more.
Up to 20km metro towing.
Exclusive Member benefits and discounts.
Australia’s largest Member organisation.

I used to call them atleast 2 times a year but that is just for flat battery. Since i replaced my battery with a new one, i have not been calling them at all.

I would still love to have roadside just incase anytime anything happens to car.

Does anyone has anywhere cheaper quotes for my yearly roadside.

TIA

We are with Allianz roadside assist and they quoted cheaper than NRMA

  • I think I paid something like $89.99 for 1 year of NRMA's roadside assistance as a new member. Maybe just have your assistance expired for a short time and sign in again as a new member? I'm not sure how they define a new member though.

  • I'm with Budget Direct for $80p/y roadside assist.
Had my first experience with them a month ago when I locked my keys in the boot at work. Took the locksmith about 30 minutes to get here, 5 minutes to pop the front door open and another 10 to get his way past the gas tank and pop the boot open.

    I'd recommend.

Cancelled mine as I was sick of subsidising Ford and Holden drivers. They should have to pay more.

Gotu road service is much cheaper, you only pay when you need service, NO SUBSCRIPTION.

I've joined years ago and haven't yet paid one penny coz, so far I haven't needed to make a call.

I gave up on expensive NRMA subscriptions a long time ago and haven't looked back since.

Phone number to call when needing service is 1800 252 655
