Virgin Australia International Lounge Access with a Lounge Pass?

Hey guys,

I'm flying to London from Melbourne, via LAX with Virgin next month, and I'm interested in buying a lounge pass for the time I'll be spending in Melbourne Airport. If I were to buy one of the Virgin Lounge passes which frequently crop up on the classifieds page, could I use one of these to gain access to the International Lounge? No amount of google searching has helped me… so I'm hoping one of you guys knows a bit more.

Cheers!

  • Can you get a credit card with lounge access?

  • Buying the single entry lounge pass off Virgin Velocity store (given you have some VFF points) will be a safer bet.

  • I don't think you can use them for International lounge access but I'm not 100% sure. Best bet is to contact Virgin and ask. My guess is supported by https://www.ausbt.com.au/where-can-you-use-complimentary-vir… but Virgin's lounge arrangements have since changed.

  • You can’t use the complimentary passes for international lounges. I’ve tried before and rejected. It says on the back of the pass that it’s for domestic lounges only.

Qantas passes however, do let you use it on international “Qantas operated” lounges and you can even use it on Jetstar international flights too.

You could use the lounge pass though, if you are transiting interstate and happen to be in the domestic terminal.
