Which Techfast PC Is Best Value?

I was going to just upgrade my graphics card but my PC is kind of old and dying and I need to upgrade the whole thing on a budget.

I was looking at the current Techfast deals that are 20% off. My budget is $600-$700 (max) and I just need the PC (no monitor, keyboard, etc.). I'm after best value for money whilst keeping in mind I won't be upgrading again for some time (I can pull my old HDD out for storage though).

I think this looks good: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-3-2300X-GTX-1060-6GB-120GB…

But am wondering if it is worth spending a little more for one of these?:

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-5-2600-RX-580-8GB-120GB-SS…

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-3-2200G-RX-570-4GB-120GB-S…

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-i3-8100-RX-570-4GB-120GB-S…

Without meaning to be lazy - is one of these significantly better value than another? I'm wanting to game on a 1080 monitor. Games I'm looking forward to are Titanfall 2, Far Cry 5, Star Citizen, plus some new releases etc. (having said that I'm currently playing Project 1999, lol).

I'm just after the best bang for buck I can get before my current PC dies without upsetting my gorgeous wife…

Any advice really appreciated.

yes, worth to spend a lil more

go the 2600/rx580 build , best value for future-proofing with 12 cpu threads + 8gb vram

while others only 4 cpu threads

hmm, if you did get the 2600, I would try to ask for a b450 mobo. Might have to pay more. At the moment, their price with discount is almost like they are forgetting to price a few components lol.
    Part prices:
    2600 $230
    a320m $80
    rx 580 8gb $300
    ddr4 8gb $75

Absolutely the the 2600 + 580 model. Will do you well.

  • Thanks for the feedback - looks like the 2600/580 is the way to go.

Not sure if this will be seen since I originally posted yesterday but what benefit would I get from this motherboard upgrade: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/System-Upgrade-A320M-to-B350M-Mo…

overclocking and more i/o - sata ports, m.2 (if any), pcie, usb ports etc.

      • Thanks phunky

      • It's more of an upgrade from a320m to b350m imo, but b450 boards are close to the same price? B450 would make the most of the Zen+ upgrades and it's more reliable. Also a rumour that b350 won't support Zen 2. Techfast have given better parts when asked before.

  • I have the same dilemma. I am selling my laptop and buying a pc and those two deals from Techfast Ebay look like great value. I have to decide before the 28th!

    I am deciding between

    Ryzen 3 2300X / RX570 8GBVRAM
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192845651614

    and

    Ryzen 5 / RX580 8GBVRAM
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ryzen-5-2600-RX-580-8GB-120GB-SS…

I am after best bang for buck and something that will last me a while. I already have a freesync monitor and want to play NBA 2k19, PUBG, Apex, Divinity Original Sin 2 etc.

Suggestions would be appreciated including what upgrades I should add.

    Thanks

    • I bit the bullet and bought the 2600/580 and upgraded the motherboard. I'm pretty excited because I haven't had a completely new PC for over a decade.

Good luck with whatever you choose!
