I don't understand why VantraIP charge so much for VPS.
Vultr, OVH, binarylane offer VPS in Australia and they are much cheaper.

They randomly decide to try and automatically renew at a higher rate (ie $9.90/mo became $49.90). Your service is automatically suspended if you don't pay. Negging to warn people and due to major issue I had with the provider.
Luckily in my case I had nothing I needed on the server, but for others this could be a major issue when they randomly 5x their price and you're unable to recover your data once suspended.

Sounds like a job for Telecommunications Ombudsman or similar…?I received the usual timeframe to pay bill before suspension, though no formal notice. This timeframe was barely enough to contact support and have them explain why it was so high, let alone contest it.
I believe they only suspend the server at first (opposed to deleting/destroying). Even so, you're still in a situation where you have to argue for a copy of your own data if you don't think to backup for they suspend.

They basically up the price out of no where and simply send you a bill, then terminate service if you don't pay.
It's obviously new hosting only. "Show us your old deal with other host, select a new from us". Just another of their new hosting only specials. Their deals are often not super clear…
I've had a number of deals from Ventraip and currently look after 2 lots of business hosting. They've been good to me and well enough priced, good tech support.
YMMV.
