Myki card now available for Android users

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I know this isn't exactly a freebie, but for folks new to Melbourne (and visitors) with an (newish) Android phone, there is no more a requirement to buy a $6 Myki card.

    Awesome!

  • it talks about Google Pay. Does anyone think there's opportunities here to load up a myki with discounted Google Play store credit?

    • Dont think so. I am part of the trial group. There was no such option

      • Can you link an existing myki physical card to the app or does it require you to setup a new digital one? Just worried if I would need to have a separate physical card always at hand in case my phone battery dies or something

      • so the only option to load stored value on to the card is a credit/debit card? How about if you want to buy a Myki pass instead of Myki money?

        • You can load either MykI money or Myki pass (or probably both)
