ANTHEM - Post Launch

Hey OBs!

I've noticed that Amazon is letting Anthem go at $30 for the PS4. Is this worth it?

Some/most reviews seem to suggest that some issues are able to be fixed over time with patches and whatnot. Thoughts?

    No.

Buy it after they're fixed, not in the hope they might one day be fixed.

Anthem right now is a buggy incomplete mess. Don't waste your time.

  • There is a reason this game is $30 so soon after launch. It is an absolute mess. Very repetitive game play. Broken and buggy game. Endgame grind is like doing hard labour in prison camp.

The game is visually stunning and the flying aspect of it is just on point, but it’s not $30 worth of entertainment.

If their trajectory stays on its current path, I feel that the game will be quickly abandoned and left for dead. It is a shame, because it has all the makings of an awesome game. Sadly it was released way too early without any content to sustain play. Too many bugs and game glitches makes it frustrating and the piss poor loot system is useless and uninspiring.

Wait for it to come waaaaaay down in price. Maybe $10 would make it a good price. In the mean time, if you want a great 3rd person loot shooter, get on Division 2. Definitely worth the money there.

Spend a bit more and buy The Division 2.

Two thumbs up for The Division games.

        • Thanks for the input guys!

I actually haven't played an online looter shooter before, do you think the Division 2 community will remain strong at least for the rest of this year?

          • @Dongas1: I think there are 3 lots of DLC to be released in the next 12 months so I would say definitely.

  • It's yet another typical idiotic failure from EA where they've attempted to copy another game using a famous studio with no experience in making that type of game and ended up with a boring snoozefest where you're constantly having to make your own fun because the game is designed to be boring so you spend money.

    (profanity) EA.

    Avoid.

If you want looter shooter, although its not at $30, get The Division 2 instead. This is the real game with heaps of fun and so many thing to do in it.

  • Game is in a great place now.
You won’t regret it at all.
Plenty of content and stuff fo do.
$30 is a bargain and you will have plenty of fun.
    Get on it!

    • People keep complaining it's buggy but personally I haven't encountered any bugs. It looks amazing and is very fun! Would recommend :)

  • Short Answer
Not worth it. It is basically a terrible flawed product from the the base structure. If you really want to play it, wait for it goes to PS+. Pretty sure will be somewhat June this year base on how it performs.
