Bunnings have smart plugs for $19.99.. They don't have the power monitor function though..

    • I grabbed a couple. Of those . Works fine with Google assistant. So far so good.

    • Bunnings have smart plugs for $19.99

      That's Brilliant !!!

    • Any idea if it works with Home Assistant?

  • i have couple of smart switch and this one is disappointing in terms of energy monitoring, data recorded is very limited, you can only see current power, daily usage and average daily use in last 7/30 days, sometimes some of the data even go missing. I'd rather get 2 HS100 for the price. The xiaomi zigbee one is one of the best in terms of monitoring usage, can actually see data for each days back to a month or something, the only gripe with it is it's only rated for 2200w so will trip out when used in high draw device like dishwasher and washing machine (in water heating mode).

    • Where can you get 2 HS100 for $39, I'm interested!

      • Kmart just cleared them out $20 each not long ago, was down to $6 last weekend but no one managed to get any

    • Ironically only yesterday i wired up the manual booster switch on my solar hot water to use a smart plug, added a Brilliant one from Bunnings and turned it on/off about 3 times via Alexa and it stopped working. Tested my wiring with the meter and all good, so added another Brilliant plug and same story worked a few times and stopped.

So i grabbed the TP-110 i had on another appliance and it's worked fine.

lol we almost wrote the same thing word for word at the same time.

        • Isn’t this where you say Jinx and the other person can’t talk until you say their name?

  • The problem with this plug is it is so wide that it renders the other socket useless if you use it on a double wall plug.
