[Solved] Cannot Apply eBay Codes with different codes

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone had issues applying the ebay codes? I have tried several over the past couple of weeks, from the mattress deals to the CPU deals and the computer alliance deals, but it just says that "This code can't be applied to your order."

I spoke with Ebay today and the rep has said these codes are not ebay codes and its up to the seller. A few days ago, one of the sellers ZZZ has said to take it up with ebay. So i am at a lost of how to proceed.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Edit: Spoke to the Ebay consultant and it turns out that it was because my account was not registered as an Australian account, so they needed to transfer it over. This tends to happen if you set up your account when you are overseas/long time ago. Thanks Clear!

      Eventually created a new account to buy the item i needed, but that's also when i realised it was actually an ebay issue and not a seller issue because the code worked on the new account but not my existing account.

    What's an example of one of the codes?

    Of late, most if not all eBay codes, have started with the letter P.

    Using PayPal for payment?

    Has your account previously been registered to a different country? E.g. signed up in the US on ebay.com or changed regions to take advantage of an offer elsewhere?

      This will be the problem, call Ebay and get your account registered back to Australia as
      it's probably registered to an overseas eBay.

      This is why the Australian codes don't work.

      You can't do it online so you'll need to ring them.

    Hi All,

    Thank you so much for your advise. After speaking to another Ebay consultant (Victor), he identified the issue that Clear had brought up and shifted my region to Australia. I think when i signed up for it years ago, there probably wasn't even a .com.au domain and just the .com.
