Big Screen TVs (65-70) - What's to Buy Now?

Hello
My 55" LED LG finally packed up (CPU).
Currently using my old 46" Sanyo, but thinking of getting something like 65-70". Budget is small - no money for new 8K Samsung =(
Can someone please suggest few options under $1500, under $2000 and under $2500? Lost track on the new tech development after LED took over plasma =)
Don't watch much 4k content. Smart tv is a plus but not at the performance expense (have a separate android tv box)

Thank you

There are cheaper Chinese brands if want but I've had bad experiences with em.

    • what about OLED? Is there much diff in picture quality? Price is higher though, so just wonder

      • OLED 😍, perfect blacks , the colours.

If you've got the money OLED is the way to go, however they do suffer from burn in.

I bought the Hisense 65P7, Ozbargains favourite TV.
It's rated better than the Samsung series 7, not sure about Samsung series 8 though.
I've got local dimming and adaptive contrast set to high and the blacks are beautiful, certainly not OLED though.
My fellow geek friends love the picture quality, but the software interface isn't as good as Samsung's, but I bought it for the picture quality.

        • what is ULED thing from Hisense? Just a fancy name to make it look like OLED?
Samsung's NU8000 looks good, similar to Hisense but from a big brand. Not sure how they compare in real life but prices are somewhat similar

    • The NU7100 75" has been as low as $1700 a few weeks ago (with ebay discount)

I am waiting for the NU8000 75" to drop so that I can get one (currently around $3000). For some reason it seems disproportionally too expensive compared to the NU8000 65" and NU7000 75"
