PS4 owners can now download a new title for free straight from the PlayStation Store.
And unlike some of the other recent trials released by Sony, this game can be added to your digital collection forever.
Path of Exile is a free-to-play developed by Grinding Gear Games which offers an Action / Role Playing experience.
It means that there is no countdown or limited time window that Path of Exile will be free to download on the PlayStation 4.

To be a little fairer to OP it was just added to the PS Store about a week ago but has some items locked, you need Active PS plus account, possibly a in game subscription required for multiplayer.

Yeah it read incorrectly OP needs to change title, you do require active PS Plus subscription to play.

Sony has nothing to do with the development of this game. The developers just made a PS4 port and released it on the PlayStation store as free to play.
Kind of weird of OP to write that Sony released it and for you to imply that Sony is giving it away.
