$25 off Your First Trip on Car Next Door

180
OPV25

This might be a better option for a new member to get Car Next Door credit. By using the referral link you will only get $15 (and $15 for referrer). Understand that referrers lose out on this as they won't get the credit but I think more users means potential new renters :)

Hope this helps someone

Referral Links

Referral: random (296)

Referrer gets $50. Referee gets $50 off for borrowing a car, or $50 credit for renting out a car.

In my experience, the cars available tend to be older than 10 years, and not the most comfortable ride. (Might be limited to my area)

Also, just note that Car Next Door charges low fees per hour, but $0.33 per KM.
When I compare my rides between Car Next Door and Flexicar, the cost ends up being the same, give or take $1 or $2, yet Flexicar gives you unlimited KM in non-daily rides and much more comfortable, newer, and well kept cars.

My 2c (or 33c over a KM XD)

    • I guess depends on your location and usage. Lots of new cars in my area. And the per km charges is because fuel is included. Surely it will be cheaper paying for what you use comparing to the ones giving you unlimited kms but embedded the fuel cost into the rent fee?

I agree for long distances, need to make your own calculation. There was an old blog post touching about this

    • Now it's either $0.21, $0.33 or $0.44 per km (car owner chooses which).

Just a FYI to those thinking of signing up as they apparently have an eligibility criteria. I went through the sign up process and provided all the required documents, picture while holding my license etc, only to be told they have decided not to activate my application.

Straight up would not give me a reason why, so I can re-mediate it, and just wouldn't want anything to do with me. So I'm not sure what I did wrong. Maybe I looked like a terrorist and maybe I was the only person that has ever been rejected, I don't know . Oh well, their lost as I still managed to hire what I needed elsewhere.

    • To my knowledge they did a credit check and driving history as well, perhaps you have something on your record?
