Due to all the requests we've been getting about this special we've decided to do it again for all of you wearing Acuvue Oasys contact lenses.

FREE 1 months supply for every 3 months you purchase (2 boxes). Minimum cost is $60 + $8 delivery. However you can waive the delivery fee if you click the facebook 'like' button on the cart page. We are aware that some browsers may not remove the delivery fee when you do so, if this is the case, please continue with your order as per usual but at the payment page click on Direct Debit and then email us with your order number. We can then remove the delivery fee for you and send you a link which you can pay by credit.

Please note the free lenses will not show up in the cart page however they will be included when you receive your lenses.

          well, they were just described as daily wear/bi-weekly replacement, which means you put them in and take them out daily, and replace (dispose of old ones) every fortnight.

          Shame, seems like a good deal but I wear CibaVision night@day (constant wear/monthly replacement). If you want to run a special on those I'd be interested.
          EDIT - Actually, scratch that. I'll stick to my normal supplier for $22 a box less.

          yeah these are bi-weekly

          The Acuvue Oasys contact lenses are fortnightly disposable contact lenses which means you may wear them for up to 14 times within a period of a month before disposing of them. They should be removed every night and cleaned with contact lens cleaning solutions.

          It is important you stick to your optometrists instructions when wearing contact lenses, hygiene is an absolute must! Make sure your hands are always clean before handling your lenses and replace your contact lens cases on a regular basis (at least 1 every 3 months). Contact lens cases are great for harboring bacteria and other germs.

          Also remember to have your eyes regularly tested by your optometrist!

    I was told by someone in the industry that the 2 week disposable lenses and the monthly disposables are 'exactly' the same. Only the cost to the consumer is different. i.e. Marketing.

      Not true. 2 contact lenses are only the same if they are made of the same material and have the same parameters.
      Different material contact lenses will have different properties. If we were to compare Acuvue Oasys to a rival monthly contact lens like Air Optix Aqua, then compare the lenses at the end of a months wear we may find the fortnightly contact lens accumulates more protein and deposits compared to the monthly contact lens. This is one of the reasons why Acuvue Oasys needs to be replaced on a fortnightly basis. One of the reasons why there are more deposits on a fortnightly contact lens after a month of wear is because the lens material has a 'charge' which attracts more deposits. Johnson & Johnson are aware of this and have done right by contact lens wearers by marketing them as a fortnightly disposable contact lens.

      Please note that this does not mean Acuvue Oasys or any fortnightly contact lenses are inferior. In fact replacing your contact lenses more frequently promotes hygiene because you're wearing fresh new lenses on a more regular basis. In my personal opinion one of the best contact lenses ever made are the Acuvue TruEye daily disposable contact lenses. Because they are a daily contact lens they the most hygienic way of wearing contact lenses and they are made of silicone hydrogel which allows tremendous amounts of oxygen to the eyes. The only con is that they're more expensive if your wear contact lenses frequently.

      but for knowing your prescription, YES
      you need to know your POWER and your BASE CURVE

    So if I order 4 boxes in total (2 for each eye), then I'll get 8 additional lenses?
    Will my invoice show 6 months supply (since additional are free) or 8 months? ;)

      Yes. For every box you order you get 2 lenses. Your invoice will show 6 months supply. FYI we format the invoices to maximise your health fund claims back. For e.g. when you purchase 4 boxes of Acuvue Oasys it will be displayed as:

      852 - Acuvue Oasys - QTY 1 - $30
      852 - Acuvue Oasys - QTY 1 - $30
      852 - Acuvue Oasys - QTY 1 - $30
      852 - Acuvue Oasys - QTY 1 - $30

      By separating the items into their individual item numbers your claim is maximised. For some health funds it will not make a difference how you format the invoice as they just pay a particular percentage of the total cost.
