How to Download Old Version App for Old iOS Devices?

I have got a ipad mini1. The up-to-date IOS it can be upgrades is 9.3.5. Recently I just restore it and let it to the my child using. But in App Store I almost can not download any apps(previously app store still advice you to download the old version and go ahead, but now it just pop up a dialog and reject everything). If for the android devices I can download the individual .apk intallation pack. But is there any other methods to install old version apps on old IOS devices? So thanks!

Did you download them in your itunes?

  • I’m guessing you don’t have the iPad backed up on a computer somewhere? If you do, you can restore it.

Some vague answers above but the short answer is that you can't, unless the developer has chosen to allow old app downloads or you have the app file saved on a computer backup with iTunes.

The other way is to jailbreak your device and sideload the app.

Third option would be to sell this ipad and buy a newer one. iPad mini 1 came out in 2012 and has a very early Apple ARM processor, wouldn't be able to run modern apps properly anyway.

You can link with iTunes in computer and download the app from iTunes.
Once app (you do not have to download it completely) is added in iTunes, you can start downloading in iPad and will get the option to download the old version

        • Thanks! This one got worked!

are you trying apps you have already purchased in the past? Or are you wanting to buy old apps that you have never purchased before?
