    Depends on how faster do you want it to be. Have xiaomi at the moment. Telstra tv Roku works ok. But not fast enough for desktop PC. Hoping the tplink improves that

      My kid uses it for gaming in his room. He gets packet loss every now and then with the xiamoi and Download speeds max out at about 16 MBps at best

      Where as via the modems wifi, can get 80+

        I reckon for gaming, mesh WiFi would be a better option.

  A pair of EoP (Ethernet over Power) is normally a better option. There are models with one that is combined with a WiFi access point.

  WiFi extenders will never provide full speed and if your area is already congested in the 2.4GHz band, make it worse.

    Also an EoP wireless access point is good, if your budget can stretch that far. Something like the TP-Link TL-WPA4220KIT which can be had for $99.

  I’ve tried a few EOPs but they’re worse the.ln the wifi extender

    EOP depends a lot on how old the wiring in your house is . I had a set and didn't work at all in my older home but worked great in my mates newer place .

  Got one of these ages ago in an ebay sale for about the same. I use it to give me ethernet in my room. Got a 5 port switch plugged into it. Streaming at 1080p on kayo, Netflix and prime is good.
